The Astrophotographer

Photograph of  the  Schmidt  and myself at the Mohave National Preserve

The Photographer

I first became interested in astronomy in 1967, joining the Phoenix Observatory Association in 1968. During High School I worked evenings at the

Pomelo Park Observatory setting up the 12.5" Optical Craftsmen Telescope for public viewing. They had a darkroom which enabled me to

pursue astrophotography. My Schmidt was  the ultimate film astrophto system.  Currently I am shooting  CCD exclusively except for the 4x5 ,The

Pentax and Nikon are now used for star trails etc.
