Subject: The sky at 1:30 in the morning showing the Milky Way, the sky glow of Phoenix ,and the Gegenshein 

which is seen only in the darkest and clearest skys. The bright bulge just right of the center  is the Gegenshein 

which is in an area completely away from the Milky Way and tapers off both directions along the ecliptic.

Exposure: 240seconds

Processing:  6 JPEG images stacked in Registar, processed in Photoshop CS3

Photographic Instrument: 15mm Canon fisheye at f3.5 ISO 800  with a Canon 5D body.

Mount:1200GTO mount and Losmandy camera mount

Guiding : AP 1200GTO

Location:  KOFA mountains

Notes: Taken during an extremely clear night the Gegenshein was easily visible to the naked eye. The Gegenshein is reflected sunlight from

dust in space at the anti-solar point or 180degrees from the Sun in the sky.
